MORE THAN JUST AI 🤖
More like Rosie the Robot 🥀
Amazon’s secret AI robot project, Burnham, may hold the key to unlocking Astro's potential by adding an intelligent, conversational interface that allows it to understand the context of a busy household and use advanced AI to respond appropriately. Internal documents seen by Insider suggest that Burnham could even remember and analyze what it has seen, engage in dialogue, and take action based on its knowledge.
Amazon's secret AI robot project, Burnham, has the potential to make their current home robot, Astro, much more useful by adding a layer of "intelligence and a conversational spoken interface".
Burnham-powered Astro could identify potential hazards in the home, such as a stove left on or a faucet left running, and alert the homeowner.
The robot could also monitor the home to ensure doors and windows are secure and check on the well-being of individuals who may have fallen or are in distress.
With advanced AI, Burnham could even analyze situations and initiate tasks on its own, such as sweeping up broken glass before it becomes a hazard.
This "Contextual Understanding" technology is Amazon's latest and most advanced AI designed to make robots more intelligent and useful.
While the potential for Burnham is exciting, Amazon admits it still has a long way to go before the technology can be put into a product and available for purchase. Currently, Astro is only available through invite and its price recently increased to $1,600.
THE ANSWER IS GEOTHERMAL 🔥
Tapping into New Energy Sources ♻️
Explore the depths of the hydrocarbon industry in Texas, the heart of crude, and discover a new source of energy: geothermal power. While some regions have already been harnessing geothermal heat for decades, engineers like Jamie are working on ways to expand this energy source to all corners of the world. Unlike the limited hydrothermal geothermal power, which relies on tectonic plate fissures, Jamie's goal is to access the vast potential of heat trapped in the dry rock beneath the Earth's surface. This innovative approach could provide a reliable, abundant source of energy that is always flowing, independent of weather patterns or geopolitical tensions.

A POWERFUL TRIAD 👀
The Meshing of Google, Microsoft & AI 🧠
Google has unveiled a new search tool called Search Generative Experience, which will generate responses to open-ended queries. The tool will be part of Google and will only be available to a limited number of users during the "experimental" phase.
At its annual developer conference, Google announced the proactive warning feature for unknown AirTags on its Android system. The feature will alert users about tiny devices developed to track personal items like keys and wallets, and is expected to go live this summer.
Google has removed the waitlist for "Bard", its experimental conversational chat service, which is set to be rolled out in English across 180 countries and territories. The chatbot will soon be able to respond to prompts with images as well as text. Google is seeking to improve its AI offerings to compete with rivals, such as Microsoft's ChatGPT and Baidu's Ernie.
