💙 NEWS FROM OUR MATES
Kosy’s new updates will make your virtual meetings even more immersive 🏃♀️
Our mates at Kosy have released a few new updates: including multiple screen-shares, active views for bigger videos and meeting rooms around “tables” 💬
We discovered Kosy right before Christmas when we were thinking of fun ways to get the whole, global team together, and we couldn’t recommend it more! Kosy is a web app that allows you to customize your own virtual social spaces, offices and meeting rooms (even on different floors and buildings), and connect with the whole team using video chat in your own “circle" avatars. You can get into breakout rooms by entering “meeting tables”, speak directly to your mates by approaching them, or just roam around and feel like your mates are actually there with their spatial audio.
Kosy is also integrated with a few of our favorite tools like Figma, Miro, Google Docs, Slides and Sheets for your mates to collaborate with. They have a free trial and starts at €10/month - check it out!
🤸 FUN PRODUCT WE LOVE
In-mail polls, surveys, registrations and calendar bookings with Mailmodo 💌
A couple of the most effective marketing strategies would be to 1.) do (what you do) well so you can 2.) get reviews and feedback. 78% of people trust online reviews as much as a recommendation from a loved one, 92% of B2B customers are more likely to buy after reading a trusted review, and most of your product/service improvement is based on feedback.
But getting them can be quite tricky, you could send 100 emails and get only 5 reviews back. People need to take time to give reviews, and if it’s not easy enough that you’re redirecting them to multiple platforms - you might just lose that one voice you needed to generate another lead, or know what to change about your product. This is why we love Mailmodo:
Features:
Set up email campaigns and newsletters. You can build both AMP & HTML emails with a no-code drag-and-drop editor.
In-email polls, surveys, registrations, calendar bookings. This also includes Calendly bookings and even their Shopify cart items. Say goodbye to losing responses for redirecting users so many times!
Send bulk, triggered or automated emails. Let them focus on the heavy-lifting, you can focus on your strategy ;)
Import, segment and manage contact lists. For more curated emails for different groups or user activities.
Includes developer API’s and Integrations with other apps. Like HubSpot, Intercom and Zapier.
Who it’s for: Anyone who wants to try getting more responses through in-mail interactions - product managers, marketers, etc.
Price: It’s free with 10K email sending credits until you need to get their logos out and yours in, or if you need automated sequences! Their plans start at US$49/mo.

🌱 TECH FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Startup uses drones and AI to detect and protect marine life 🐬
60% of the world’s major marine ecosystems have been degraded or are being used unsustainably. At the current rate, more than half of marine species will be close to extinction by 2100.
So to help keep ocean animals safe, startup WIPSEA has deployed drones and algorithms to help detect and classify species, count them, as well as generate detailed maps on where they are. Traditionally, people could only map when they’re sent up in planes to spot whatever they can, which can be costly, time-consuming and even dangerous. This data they get is then given to organizations operating in the seas, creating marine-protected areas or offshore wind farms to keep in mind and track their surrounding ecosystems.
WIPSEA also has a Harmony Software that automatically sorts your photos in 3 categories using AI: empty, mammals and avifauna for easier tracking.
