Our mates at Typedream, the website builder that allows you to just type (no-code, no drag-and-drops!) your dream websites, has launched CMS features! 🥳

Keeping your website updated of new articles, newsletters, social media posts you want to highlight, or any other updates can be quite tedious - which is what makes Content Management Systems so powerful! As soon as you add a new blog article for example, CMS allows you to update your homepage section on blogs to the latest you’ve published. It fastens your deployment, and handles unnecessary tasks a computer can do instead!

Spend Christmas with your remote team using Kosy 👋

If you’re like us and have at least 1 other team on the other side of the world (or even just a few miles away), you and the team might love Kosy 🙌

Used by brands like Canva, Amazon and PwC, Kosy is a web app that allows you to design your own virtual space/office, and connect with the whole team using video chat in your own “circle” avatars. You can set up your own rooms, like a Social Space, Meeting Rooms, your own Offices, and even 1-1 rooms, then join different tables to enter a “conversation”. These rooms can also be set up on different floors and buildings!

Reusable, 3D printed rockets built in 60 days 🤯

In the age of private spaceflight, more and more are looking to outshine companies like SpaceX, and startup Relativity Space is a step closer in doing so!

Relativity Space was founded in 2015, and have since aimed to enable faster, more frequent and lower cost access to space. From 2017, they have developed Terran 1, the world’s first entirely 3D printed rocket, and have also built their own factory to manufacture it called Stargate - integrating robotics, software and their 3D printed patented technologies.

Terran 1 is built using 100x less parts than traditional rockets, and is 10x faster in production time. They’re still in their test milestones, but have already raised another round of $650M in their Series E funding.

🌱 TECH FOR SUSTAINABILITY

World’s most powerful tidal turbine to generate electricity for 2,000 homes - for 15 years 🌊

Assembled over 18 months but developed from 15 years of work, the Orbital O2 is a 680-tonne turbine that is anchored in the Fall of Warness, a high-tidal energy environment in Orkney, UK.

As the turbine harnesses the ocean currents, electricity is transferred from the turbine via a dynamic cable to the seabed and then through a static cable to the local onshore electricity network. It even provides power to an onshore electrolyser to generate green hydrogen!
