๐Ÿ’ญ TECH FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Humanoid robot CyberOne plays the drums without missing a beat ๐Ÿฅ

How awesome would it be to watch a band of humanoid robots? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi introduced CyberOne in August and shared a video of it playing drums. This was after getting lots of feedback from the public who donโ€™t have backgrounds in robotics - that theyโ€™re more interested in seeing humanoid robots do things that humans canโ€™t easily do. In this case, consistent hand-foot coordination in motion and rhythmic control, so they decided to use drumming for their demonstration!

CyberOne is 177cm tall, weighs 52kg with an arm span of 168cm. It can easily imitate human movements supporting up to 21 degrees of freedom in motion with real-time response speed of 0.5m for each degree of motion.

๐ŸŒฑ TECH FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Finally, we can recycle & upcycle ALL types of plastics ๐Ÿ›

Around 80% of all plastic end up in our oceans or landfills. Why? Mostly because there hasnโ€™t been ways to recycle most types, such as soft plastics or mixed plastics. Now, 2 companies are pioneering in making it possible: Plastonix and Elemental Recycling ๐ŸŽ‰

Plastonix developed technology that can mix and process any material (those that we can recycle and canโ€™t) to turn them into chips and powder.

Elemental Recycling has gone a step further, by developing and selling plastic recycling machines - that take any kind of plastic and upcycle them into high purity graphite and graphene (used to make smartphones, electronics of all types). We can expect them to launch to customers in Q1 of 2023 already!
