🤸 FUN PRODUCT WE LOVE
Brain-dump easily with Voiceliner 📱
Do you usually have long conversations with friends, having scattered ideas and references that come and go? Or are you the type to think out loud, and just want to save all of those quickly and in a structured way? If you do, you just might love Voiceliner!
Voiceliner is an easy mobile app that auto-transcribes voice notes, helps you recognize keywords, play them back, and structures your notes using AI so they make sense to you - organized in different “outlines” for various subjects and topics. They also have location-based notes if you want to remind yourself to visit that store your team told you about!
Voiceliner is quite new, they’ve just released days ago on the AppStore and Google PlayStore after 4 months of development! Go ahead and try it - help a fellow entrepreneur out and give them your feedback if you have any ;)
💭 TECH FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Generate human-like-written essays, answers and text content with GPT-3 💬
Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3 (GPT-3) is a natural language processing model that uses deep learning to produce human-like text, and is doing well at it! Developed by OpenAI, Elon Musk’s AI research lab, the GPT-3 can write news articles, argumentative essays to questions and more just by feeding it a few words, phrases or sentences.
Do you think Artificial Intelligence would ever match up to human intelligence? Some don’t agree: “Artificial intelligence programs lack consciousness and self-awareness,” researcher Gwern Branwen wrote in his article about GPT-3. “They will never be able to have a sense of humor. They will never be able to appreciate art, or beauty, or love. They will never feel lonely. They will never have empathy for other people, for animals, for the environment. They will never enjoy music or fall in love, or cry at the drop of a hat.”
This ^ was actually written by GPT-3, after being expressed skepticism about AI in just a few words - Wow!
🌱 TECH FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Game of Trawls is here to save marine life 🐠
Did you know that 1/4 of global marine catches are discarded back at sea, already damaging eco-systems, or are brought back to shore where they are not made use of?
This is caused by trawling, a widely used fishing method that fishers use to tow a huge net behind a boat, and collect as many fish they can in a certain area. This overhaul causes overfishing of unintended or endangered species, and impacts corals along the way.
Ifremer, a french oceanographic institution, is developing a smart net called Game of Trawls (we love the name!) that can sort fish in water using a network of sensors, cameras, and AI, which fishermen can use to select specific species, their size and their abundance.
