AI'S LIMITATIONS EXPOSED
The Jobs That Remain Impervious to Automation
Goldman Sachs released a report in March 2023 that estimated a quarter of all work currently done by humans could be done by AI capable of content generation. The report also states that 300 million jobs could be lost to automation across the European Union and US.
Martin Ford, author of Rule of the Robots: How Artificial Intelligence Will Transform Everything, warns that this could have dire consequences not just for individuals, but for the whole economy.
Experts caution that AI still lacks distinctly human qualities such as emotional intelligence and creativity.
HOW TO POWER THE FUTURE?
Northvolt's Plan to Construct a Multi-Billion Euro Battery Plant in Germany
Two electric vehicle battery makers, Northvolt and another unnamed company, plan to spend around $11 billion on factories in Europe starting production in 2026, and employ thousands of people to supply batteries to European car makers.
Europe loosened state aid rules for green industry projects to win the subsidy race with the U.S.
Sweden's Northvolt is set to pick Heide in northern Germany for its factory, pending approval of over 600 million euros in subsidies.
SCIENCE FICTION BECOMES A REALITY
