Meta has been cooking an exploratory AI research concept called Make-A-Scene to help people to bring their visions to life, no matter their skills in graphic design or art! 🖌
The team at Make-A-Scene has been training the system on millions and millions of examples of publicly available images to understand the relationship between visuals and text - and it’s doing surprisingly well! With a text prompt, and even sketch input if you like, you can generate many outputs that fit what you might be looking for.

🌱 TECH FOR SUSTAINABILITYMaking drinking water with sunlight and air 💧
1 in 4 people in the whole world are facing dangerous water shortages, and US company Zero Mass Water is looking to do their part 💦 with hydropanels they’ve designed!
The hydropanels are solar-powered, and has a special material that absorbs moisture from the air. As the panels heat up with sunlight, it turns the moisture into vapor, condenses it into water, and then fortifies it by adding calcium and magnesium for taste.
Each panel can collect about 3-5 liters of water every day, or fill up 300 bottles every month. You can plop them onto the ground, or let them sit on rooftops. They’re already operating in 50 countries 👏

And from founding Sparkmate in 2020, in the midst of the COVID chaos, it’s been hard to put all 3 heads in 1 room… until last week when they finally decided to meet and have a #cofoundersretreat in London 💂♀️
With the week done, they’re energized, replenished and have gone through the next steps for growing Sparkmate - and we can’t wait to share with you their plans to do so!
